What is pendulum movement, and is there an adjustment for blade depth?

A great project very well presented. I built a structure forming three stables and a feed room. I used similar cladding. The only problem I had was using screws within two to three inches away from the board edges they split easily. Using a nail gun worked perfectly with no splits.

I watched the video - nice bench, love the colour - and as you were finishing up, I said to my wife "he's going to need some drainage holes in that" - and then you tell us that your mum said the same thing. I immediately said 'always listen to your mother' just seconds before you said the same. Respect to your mum!

Who doesn't like a project that combines two uses, very practical Matt, the perfect place for some bags of compost and empty flower pots or the waste recycling and a nice place for a cuppa ! What's great about this is you could even adapt an existing chest (if you have one) in this way !

I don't understand why you didn't have the sides flush with front and back and top wider stop water ingress at sides and bench seat would look a lot better, always like your videos good idea with your bench expanding storage

Nice use of decking, it us the cheapest timber you can get! Regarding feet I have used the old fashioned rubber internal door stops/bumpers on a couple of things in the garden. Cheapish but gives a bit more clearance and helps if the floor is a bit uneven.

Protecting your new bench from hand saw, instead of the cut pad you could make 1 or 3(for supporting in and out) bench hooks from scraps. Rex Kruger has a simple example.

Is the fence always 90 degrees / parallel to the blade? Some designs uses a rail in both sides (Dewalt does this) which keeps the fence perfectly aligned.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your video! Your workshop is truly impressive and it's great to see it getting more and more complete. Watching your progress always inspires me to improve my own space. I have to admit, I'm a bit envious of the amazing used tools you have. Here in Germany, finding good old woodworking tools is quite difficult and they can be very expensive when they do appear. Keep up the fantastic work! I wish you all the best for your future videos and your workshop. Looking forward to seeing more from you!
